About Louisa

With over 25 years of experience in Canada’s Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance industry, Louisa Hui is a seasoned professional dedicated to driving excellence in brokerage operations and business development. Her philosophy centers on prioritizing customer care, a value she consistently upholds in her diverse roles within the industry.

Since moving to Canada with her family in 1992, Louisa has cultivated a career that spans 17 years with brokerages and 8 years with insurance companies. Her extensive experience includes sales and service, underwriting and risk management, business development, broker relationship management, and brokerage operations. Louisa has also owned and managed her own brokerage and contributed to corporate strategy development at a long-established brokerage.

Louisa’s academic and professional credentials include a university degree as well as the prestigious FCIP (Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional) and CRM (Canadian Risk Management) designations. Her expertise in strategic planning and business development makes her a trusted leader and mentor in the insurance industry.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Louisa is deeply committed to giving back to the community. Louisa has been an active member of the Canadian Chinese Insurance Professionals Association (CCIPA) since 2013. She served as President for two consecutive terms over four years, contributing significantly to knowledge sharing, the development of the association, and fostering collaboration among insurance professionals. She is currently a Board of Director, continuing her service and dedication to the association.

Louisa also serves as a Board Member and Treasurer for the Carefirst Foundation, a registered charitable non-profit organization dedicated to fundraising for Carefirst Seniors and Community Services Association. Her vision is to elevate the insurance industry by providing impactful services that ultimately give back to the broader community.
